CONSUMPTIONS
The infrared radiating elements heat less than 20% of the surrounding air and more than 50% of the objects, ensuring warm, dry and mould-free walls and furnishings (objects, exhibits, furniture).
This is the reason why in the past, before the introduction of hot-air heating systems, the maintenance works for environments and furnishings were undertaken about every 20 years; whereas after their introduction various interventions became necessary every 2 years against mould, fungus, dirt on surfaces and furnishings, layers of colours, dirt of lower surfaces, salt damp (in the permanent shifting of dissolution and crystallization), the forming of cracks, the corrosion of surfaces, plasters and metal objects and to prevent musical instruments going out of tune.
This state of things implies frequent maintenance works in the house, whose high costs could be avoided using a different type of heating system.
Dry rooms which use the radiant heat technology are those which guarantee the greatest cost saving possible.
This kind of heating system succeeds in cooling down the air temperature of the environment by about 2°C .
- This means a lower heat dispersion through the walls due to the smaller difference of temperature.
- Less energy dispersion caused by air exchange (aired spots, cracks)
a 1°C cooling down means an about 5% of energy saving. With 2°C a 10% of energy saving will be possible

The table is based on researches done on the market about the realization costs of heating systems.
The comparison has been calculated for a period of 15 years, for a structurally well-insulated flat of about 80Sqm .
The difference between the radiating panels and other types of heating systems can be noticed as it brings a 48% cost saving compared with the gas-oil heating.
Besides, it needs to be remembered that apart from the Methane, which like the electrical energy is paid through a bill (two months after the use and just what has been used) gas-oil and GPL are paid in advance when the storage tank is filled (fuel left inside included).
The radiating panels are in no need for:
- maintenance
- boiler room
- fuel tank or storage room
- chimneys
We can't do magic, but we can dry the walls out and keep them dry, so that the result is a reduced thermal conductivity and low energy costs.
